The class is for anyone who wants to maintain a pain-free, healthy and strong back, throughout their life.<br \/>\n<strong>With the back yoga classes you will get the keys to get your back in top condition.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Mental awareness<\/h3>\n<p>Giving your yoga practice full attention is perhaps the biggest task. Yet it is highly essential in yoga practice.<br \/>\nWhen suffering from back problems, we are sometimes confronted with the fact that we pay little attention to and are not in touch with our body, and more specifically, our back. Being 100% present, focusing our attention helps us to become aware of our back and how we deal with it outside of class.<\/p>\n<h3>Breathing<\/h3>\n<p>During Back Care yoga we work continuously with the <strong>ujjayi breathing technique<\/strong> and sometimes with conscious contraction of certain muscle groups.<br \/>\n<strong>We consider our breathing to be the &#8220;engine&#8221;<\/strong>, guide and driving force of our practice. Since everyone breathes in a different way, there are moments when the participants work at their own rhythm.<br \/>\nIn the context of the back, good breathing is crucial. After all, breathing too shallowly and incompletely can lead to tension and blocked energy anywhere in the body, both in the back and the rest of the body.<\/p>\n<h3>Posture<\/h3>\n<p>In Back Care yoga <strong>the four most important functions of physical yoga<\/strong> are all addressed. The tool to support and strengthen these functions is <strong>the yoga posture or asana<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe movements and postures come from almost hundreds of described yoga postures. Dynamic postures (movements) alternate with static moments. We continue to take five to seven quiet, deep breaths in each posture.<br \/>\nThe series includes lying, sitting and standing postures. Certain props such as chairs, blocks, belts, for example, are available.
